Document signed by Solomon Van Rensselaer, who was the Adjutant General of New York, announcing to the New York State Militia the signing of a peace treaty between the United States and Great Britain, ending the War of 1812. It is addressed to Major General Benjamin Mooers, who served in both the revolutionary war and the war of 1812.
