The Gentleman’s Magazine was an English publication that ran for over 200 years and is credited with being the first periodical to use the title ‘magazine’. The American Motto famous on coins ‘E Pluribus Unum’ which translates to ‘Out of many, one’ was thought to have been inspired by this publication which has the same phrase on the title page. Illustrations throughout the book and a very helpful index in the back that notes articles on events across the world, including America and England.
