17" x 12". Engravings by various artists, including Charles Nicolas Cochin, of the Hotel Royal Des Invalides. Lacks title page and only includes engravings, numbered to 103. Missing numbers 4, 19, 22, 24, 29, 39, 41, 56, 58. Pages vary in condition, some are clean and bright, some have stains or rips. Three engravings (42, 76, 90) have portions cut out. Board and spine have portions missing and rubbing. Fair to good condition.
The Hôtel des Invalides, commonly known as Les Invalides, is a significant historical complex located in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France. It was originally commissioned by Louis XIV in 1670 as a hospital and retirement home for war veterans.
